One of last terms assignments required us to map an area of interest to us. This project was mainly a research task but it also required a physical outcome. The brief asked us to use an area of graphic design (in my case branding and logo design) that we find interesting. It was important to not create a finished item but to make the item used to make the finished item….understand? No neither did I for quite a while! But after a lot of research and a lot of work I created my How To Guide. The attached CD is a collection of vector elements designed by me for the readers use. Paired with the guide itself its the best way to start your logo design.

Big talk about Rodolfo fighting Roger Gracie in the future. Quite similar styles, but I think the most obvious comparison is they both have great take downs. Watch for the text book throw at 30 secs.

Bloody hell, Ive been busy. Heres post number three of the day. Ive been meaning to make a banner for this blog but I just havnt got around to it. Heres my first effort, not really in keeping with the theme I have at the moment so Im not sure if Ill use it here but it was fun to make.
I used the make your own paintbrush tool in Illustrator and had a mess around. ; )

Ive discovered the iPhones camera is pretty good, I always feel really conspicuous with my Cannon D3100. Ive started snapping all over the place and Im getting some pretty good results. Ive also started using Instagram and found what the iPhone camera lacks in clarity the filters you can put on after bring out some really interesting results. Heres a few of my favorites.
